DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 23, 2012) - AMA Pro Racing is excited to announce a new social media initiative program sponsored by Tilt-a-Rack.com for riders participating in the 2012 AMA Pro Hillclimb season. The purpose of the program is to show the importance of rider participation in the promotion of AMA Pro Hillclimb and those that are supporting it with a focus on promoting companies affiliated with the sport through social media platforms, rider blogs and interviews.
The Tilt-a-Rack.com Social Media Incentive Program will begin on March 1, 2012 and end on October 13, 2012 at midnight. Tilt-a-Rack.com is offering $850 in total prize money to be paid out to the three (3) riders who have earned the most social media incentive program points throughout the program. The initial offering is $500 to first, $250 to second, and $100 to third, with awards scheduled to be paid out during intermission at the final event, hosted by Dayton Motorcycle Club in Oregonia, OH, on October 14, 2012.
"This can change the social media game and we are so ready to make this happen," said Andrew Miro, owner of Tilt-a-Rack.com. "We want to add value to our partnership with AMA Pro Hillclimb in order to help us both grow."
Riders that wish to participate must notify Amanda Campbell, have active accounts on Facebook and Twitter, like Tilt-a-Rack.com and AMA Pro Hillclimb on Facebook and follow both companies on Twitter. Tilt-a-Rack.com will post and tweet bios and info about each rider in the points program once a week and leading up to each race. Tilt-a-Rack.com will also host a web page for the program and will post the social media incentive program point updates and links to each riders' social media pages.
